Restaurants are a place of refuge, a place to escape and raise a glass to better times or fulfill those great times with great friends and strangers. A place, no matter what your background, you can share dumb jokes like… “Is orange wine made of oranges” or “I did not like that at all” [in reference to an empty plate] and be amongst strangers that are now your best mates.
Humans should not be denied this.
We stand with all of our fellow servers, cooks, chefs and operators that are giving thought, funds, closures, time and tears today.
This is just another time where the hospitality industry’s voice is and can be the loudest.
